Thank you for taking the time to participate in our survey. Your insights are invaluable to us as we continually work to improve the quality and impact of our activities. In this survey, the term ‘activities’ or 'services' is used in a broad sense to include not only direct analytical or advisory services, but also scientific research collaborations, method development, and project-based activities where our expertise is applied. This survey focuses on your perceptions of the activities provided by Sciensano in two key research areas: Food Contact Materials and Nanoparticles in Food.
Food Contact Materials: Sciensano’s activities in Food Contact Materials investigates the safety and integrity of materials that come into direct contact with food. This includes packaging, storage containers, processing equipment, and other materials used during the production and handling of food products. Our work involves analysing the migration of substances from these materials into food, both unintended contaminants and substances that are intentionally part of the material’s composition. We assess the associated risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential hazards, thereby protecting consumer health while supporting industry innovation.
Nanoparticles in Food: Our activities on nanoparticles in food explores the use, functionality, and safety of nanoscale materials within the food industry. This includes their application as food additives, nutrients or preservatives, and components in smart packaging. We identify and characterise the nanoparticles in view of potential benefits, food safety and risks to human health including, potential toxicity, bioaccumulation, interactions with cellular compartments. Our goal is to deliver evidence-based insights that guide safe innovation and inform regulatory standards in this rapidly developing field.
We value your experience and collaboration, especially as a partner involved in regulatory and quality assurance processes. Your feedback will help us better tailor our activities to meet your needs and identify areas where we can improve.
Please provide honest and thoughtful feedback.
No personal information such as names or ages is required.
Your responses will be treated confidentially and only used for improving our services.
